Showing at , London Art14 “Modern Art/ Myanmar” presents selections of Aung Myint and Min Wae Aung’s work at Booth LF5, London First, Olympia Grand from 28 February to 2 March 2014.
Aung Myint (b.1946, Rangoon, Burma) is a self taught artist, working in painting, installation and performance. Since 1995 his work has caught the attention of curators at Fukuoka Asian Art Museum and Singapore Art Museum. He has been exhibited and collected by the Solomin R. Guggenheim Museum in their exhibition ”No Country”, (2013).
Min Wae Aung (b. 1960, Danubyu, Burma) has delighted collectors worldwide with his gorgeous depictions of Burmese monks and rural fold. First recognised by Fukuoka Asian Art Museum in 1994, he has exhibited in many cities, and is in private and public collections (Singapore Art Museum, National Visual Art Gallery, Kuala Lumpur, School of Oriental and African Studies, London).
